Walter Wolfgang - Labour Party National Executive Committee

04/08/06

The veteran peace campaigner,83, gained national publicity last year when he was manhandled by Labour 'heavies' from the Labour Party Annual Conference at Brighton, after shouting "nonsense" during a speech by the now sacked Foreign Secretary Jack Straw. He was then detained by police under the all pervasive anti-terrorism powers as he tried to re-enter the conference as an accredited delegate.

Mr Wolfgang intends to use his seat as a Constituency member on Labour's National Executive Committee to campaign against control freakery in New Labour, and also against plans to replace Britain's Trident nuclear missiles.
